Ballast Water Management Systems expert, Techcross Inc, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Damen Ship Repair Harbor & Voyage to provide retrofit installation on its existing vessels.
As per the MOU, Techcross cooperates with Damen Ship Repair Harbor & Voyage to provide comprehensive services for ship owners related to the retrofit installation on their existing vessels.
Once the International Maritime Organization (IMO)'s Ballast Water Management Convention will enter into force on 8 September 2017, it’s expected that there will be a huge demand from ship owners worldwide for installation of BWMS. Techcross has recently signed similar MoUs with a number of top ship repair companies in Singapore, Dubai, India, Malaysia, Spain and China in order to ensure a stream of orders for its ballast water management systems.
Techcross said it is recognising a need to support its customers understands that good and effective cooperation with select BWMS providers will be critical towards providing support in future. Techcross Inc. researches and develops electrolytic water management systems for the shipping industry in South Korea.
It offers Electro Cleen System that treats incoming water and sediments passing through the electrolysis chamber unit. The company installs its products in very large crude carriers, containers, bulk carriers, tankers, LNG/LPG, and others.
