Norwegian training specialist Seagull has developed a new electronic pocket guide titled Emergency Systems – Prepare for Port State Control Inspection

In recent years, Port State Control inspections have revealed a number of deficiencies with regards to ship emergency systems and the crew’s ability to use systems and procedures correctly in critical situations. As a response, Tokyo MoU has announced that they will have a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Emergency Systems - jointly with their Paris MoU counterpart - from September 1st 2019 to November 30th 2019.

This electronic Pocket Guide will assist management level staff when preparing the ship and a crew for the 2019 CIC on Emergency Systems. Inside, Seagull will walk users through the ‘what?’ the ‘who?’ the ‘why?’ the ‘when?’ and the ‘where?’ – All of the major questions answered, directly from the Pocket Guide.

At the end of the guide is a Template Form. This will also assist management in their preparations for Port State Control inspections. Seagull is offering the guide free to existing customers.
