Maritime e-learning specialist Seagull Maritime has announced that it has acquired a majority of the shares in Norwegian ship management software provider Tero Marine.
Tero Marine’s flagship, TM Master, is recognised as one of the leading brands in the business. Today, TM Master is a crucial tool for shipowners all over the world, not only as an instrument for planned maintenance (and asset management), but also as a business intelligence resource.
“We are proud that we now have an industry leader as Seagull Maritime as our main shareholder. We believe the market knowledge and financial strength of Seagull will help fulfill Tero Marine’s high ambitions, and also create value for our customers and employees”, said Jarle Holmelid, CEO of Tero Marine.
Tero Marine is growing fast and has currently more than 55 employees, with offices and representatives in Norway, UK, Singapore, USA, Brazil, Japan and Russia. The software development is mainly conducted at the head office in Bergen, strongly supported by a developer team in St. Petersburg, Russia.
“We are very impressed by the company and the solutions developed by Tero Marine and we believe the company has a great future. The management and employees in Tero Marine are doing a great job in serving customers and developing quality products for the maritime industry. There will be no organizational changes and the company will continue as a separate company” said Roger Ringstad, Group CEO of Seagull Maritime.
