Borg, a multipurpose (MPP) ship owned by Dutch shipowner and operator Royal Wagenborg, was launched at compatriot Niestern Sander shipyard.

The ship, an ice-strengthened multipurpose vessel of the EasyMax type, with a cargo capacity of over 14.000 tonnes, measuring 149 m. in length and 15,90 width, is the largest vessel ever built at a yard situated on the landside of the dikes in the North of the Netherlands.

The vessel will be delivered by the yard in April 2017 when christening and name giving will also take place. The company’s MPP fleet is comprised of more than 180 ships, ranging in size from 1,700 to 23,000 tons.

Royal Niestern Sander's shipyard is located in the Northern part of the Netherlands in the Delfzijl harbor area.
