China State Shipbuilding Trading a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, together with Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group and Guangzhou Shipyard International successfully inked new orders for 13 16,000teu container ships valued at over $1.5Bn. It is the single largest container ship order undertaken by China State Shipbuilding Corporation.

This series of container ships were designed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation. Seven of the new ships will be built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry under China State Shipbuilding Corporation, and the other six built by Guangzhou Shipyard International. Deliveries are scheduled for 2023 and 2024.

All will be powered by WinGD engines, be scrubber fitted and be LNG ready. The ships are about 366m long and 51m in beam. The order has been linked to liner operator MSC.
